How To Get Spray Can Famous(For Noobs)
First and foremost you need to make sure you have talent. If you don't, go get some. There are numorous drawing tutorials on the web and youtube (My personal favourite is Mark Crilley: http://www.youtube.com/user/markcrilley ). The other approach is staring at pictures of what you want to draw for hours( I mean HOURS). Critique the drawings you already have. Find any flaw you can and think of how you would fix them. The eraser is your friend. If you cannot draw a straight line, draw a wavy one and erase it until you see a straight one. That is what I do. Okay now to general advice.
1.Stay Consistent - Believe it or not people like things to stay the same. Develop a consistent style and use it on every one of your tags. This is where I made the biggest mistake, all of my tags look completely different then one another, consequently sc users tend to ignore me. If you do not currently have a consistent style, or your current one stinks, make another account and use a consistant style then.
2.Have a unique name and Signature- No one wants to follow someone whose account is "steve" that is boring. There are some accounts like "I draw life" a beautiful and unique name which attracts people to look at your pictures or more commonly known as "tags" in the first place, try something in a different language, for example: my sister was formerly known as flaming imagination, but has now replaced that with "CREMA" catalan for "burning fire" of course you run in to the recurrent problem where people refer to you as @Cream or @Scream, quote from my sister "freaking people can't accept that my name is awesome". My sister of course got her idea from the artists Hirnfresser, German for "Brain Eater". I know right! ~~Something you should have noticed by now, is that the all the amazing artists have amazing signatures. That is no coincidence. So come up with something good! and if you need to brainstorm look at the names of the popular artists for ideas, but no copying! Try mooshing them all together, "OszorasaraIPad"? :D
3.Be Positive- This works in real life as well as sc. No one wants to follow a negative Nancy! Oslik2 didn't get anywhere from posting sad pictures of cats on fire or word tags about how sad her life is. This applies in real life too, you're not going to get friends from being a depressing person always complaining about how awful their life is, you have to pick yourself up, and if that fails, then just look at someone starving or read one of those articles about those children who get raped and dying from giving birth in poor conditions in third world countries. People gravitate towards happy people so if you want to be popular, or simply want support be happy :) you see I'm liking you more already.
*Important* If you have all of the three qualifications but you lack talent, you can't get anywhere on spray can. these tips are simply to aid you in getting more popular faster.

I absolutely agree with starfire here, ESPECIALLY when you are just starting out, it is IMPERATIVE that you use normal text, until you can be found on other lists in the artist section you must be searchable so people can recommend you.
